Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, popularly known as DongYan, were deeply moved by the overwhelming fan support at the screening of their comeback film, “Rewind.” The emotional moment, captured in an Instagram video by Star Cinema, took place during the film’s showing at SM Pampanga. The area outside the theater was filled with fans, leaving only the escalators free, and the couple made sure to acknowledge their supporters by waving and talking to them.
“Rewind” has become a blockbuster hit at the Metro Manila Film Festival. It marks a significant return for DongYan to the big screen, their first since “You to Me Are Everything” in 2010. The film, a collaborative effort between Star Cinema, APT Entertainment, and Agosto Dos Media, and directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, explores the story of a couple facing marital challenges and a subsequent tragedy that puts them in a time-loop.
Beyond “Rewind,” Marian Rivera is preparing for a TV comeback with the series “Against All Odds.” Additionally, a new season of DongYan’s comedy sitcom “Jose & Maria’s Bonggang Villa” is slated for release in 2024.
