Esnyr, one of the standout personalities on “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition,” got emotional during a heart-to-heart task facilitated by house guest Michelle Dee. In a vulnerable moment, he opened up about a deep-seated conflict with his father and the burden of being his family’s main provider.
He recounted a time when he received a call saying his father might go to jail due to unpaid debts—debts that matched his salary at the time. Out of love, Esnyr paid the amount and borrowed more, launching what he called his “utang chronicles.” He took on non-stop content creation to meet the financial demands, working tirelessly on scripts, shoots, and brand deals.
Despite his efforts, he was met with harsh words from his father after missing a message asking for money. “Grabe kang magpasarap ng buhay,” the message read, accusing him of neglect.
Esnyr revealed that he and his father were never emotionally close. “Never in my life sinabi niya sa akin na ‘I love you,’” he said tearfully, though he still holds out hope for reconciliation.
He ended with a moving message: “Pa, sobrang mahal na mahal kita. I’m doing everything for you. Kahit walang ‘PBB,’ gusto ko lang na magiging okay kami.”
