‘Dapat Patas!’ The law should be used for the benefit of all, not just persons in authority, Vice President Leni Robredo said on Sunday.

She made the statement on her radio program after reports that some people were arrested for allegedly threatening and criticizing President Rodrigo Duterte.

Robredo pointed out that a death threat, whether against the president or a regular person, should be investigated.

“Tama naman na i-pursue ng National Bureau of Investigation, pero sana patas,” she added.

“Hindi naman puwedeng dahil nasa posisyon ka, ikaw lang ‘yung makikinabang sa batas.”

Recently, a public high school teacher in Zambales and a construction worker in Aklan were separately arrested by the NBI and the Philippine National Police over their social media posts about offering rewards to anyone who could kill the president.
