Reflecting on his visit, Felip shared his enthusiasm for performing in Japan, a country he has long admired. “Japan is my dream country. I watch a lot of anime, so basically, I love everything in Japan. It’s such a dream to promote my album in Japan and I’m looking forward to performing there!” he said.
The Japanese edition of the “7Sins” album is unique, featuring a physical CD, exclusive merchandise, additional content, and a special bonus track titled “Tokyo.”
A Record-Breaking Launch
Pre-orders for the “7Sins” physical CD began on July 1 and are available through major retailers like Tower Records Japan, Amazon Japan, and CD Japan. Felip’s album made history by becoming the first Filipino artist to top CD Japan’s all-genre rankings in 27 years on the first day of pre-order. It also secured the top spot in Amazon Japan’s Hip-hop Category on day two of pre-orders.
Additionally, the album placed in the Top 10 of Tower Records’ Kpop/World CD reservation rankings and ranked No. 1 in the Rock/Pop genre on Rakuten. It even sold out at the Warner Music Japan store.
“7Sins,” Felip’s debut solo album released in July, features tracks like “Envy,” “Greed,” and “Ache,” and follows his earlier mini-album “COMPLEX” from 2023, which included singles such as “ROCKSTA,” “CRIMINAL,” and “DRINKSMOKE.”
Felip has also released the single “Fake Faces” and was featured in Playertwo’s song “Flyyy.”
