The K-pop scene welcomes its newest addition, UNIS, following the reality show “Universe Ticket,” featuring a diverse lineup including three Filipina members: Elisia Parmisano, Gehlee Dangca, and Filipino-Korean Jin Hyeon Ju. The group’s launch was marked by the release of their mini-album “We Unis” and the music video for their lead single, “SUPERWOMAN.”
UNIS, showcasing international flair, also includes members from South Korea and Japan, reflecting the global appeal of K-pop. The mini-album features tracks like “Butterfly’s Dream,” “Whatchu Need,” “Dopamine,” and “Dream of Girls,” promising a rich musical diversity. Elisia Parmisano’s achievement as the first Filipino to rank first in a Korean survival show highlights the growing influence and recognition of Filipino talent in the K-pop industry.
