Early Monday morning, a fire broke out in a storage facility in Barangay Bagong Nayon, Antipolo City, Rizal. The incident, reported on ‘Unang Balita’, prompted immediate action from local fire authorities.

The Antipolo Fire Station received the distress call around 5 AM, with reports indicating that the warehouse contained primarily light materials such as cardboard, which allowed the fire to spread rapidly. The blaze escalated quickly, triggering a first alarm, necessitating the deployment of four fire trucks to the scene.

Efforts to contain the fire proved successful, with subsequent updates confirming that the fire had been extinguished. However, the incident wasn’t without its repercussions. The Antipolo Fire Station reported that several nearby homes were affected by the fire. The exact number of impacted residences is still under evaluation.

Investigations are underway by the Bureau of Fire Protection to determine the cause of the fire. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities associated with this incident, a small consolation in the face of the property damage and disruption caused by the fire.

As the community begins to recover from the blaze, the focus shifts to understanding its origin and ensuring the well-being of those affected by the unfortunate event.
