A fire broke out on a dredger vessel, MV HYNZ 31, in Manila Bay on Thursday afternoon, according to a report on State of the Nation.
Thick, dark smoke was seen billowing from a portion of the vessel, prompting the Philippine Coast Guard to dispatch BRP Sindangan and BRP Suluan for emergency response.
The fire was successfully extinguished by 4:30 p.m.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire, and no information on possible injuries has been released.
