GMA Network and FPJ Productions Inc. have joined forces to bring the timeless films of the late Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ) to Kapuso viewers in 2025. The contract signing took place on Tuesday, marking a significant collaboration that celebrates the legacy of the “King of Philippine Movies.”
Honoring FPJ’s Legacy
Senator Grace Poe, FPJ’s daughter, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to GMA Network for honoring her father’s contribution to Philippine cinema.
“Mula sa akin at sa aming pamilya, maraming salamat sa pagpapahalaga sa alaala at sa sining ni FPJ,” she said.
She emphasized how her father’s films continue to resonate with audiences, even two decades after his passing:
“Dahil sa mga pelikula niya at patuloy na napapanood ng ating mga kababayan, naaalala pa rin siya.”

Present at the signing were prominent figures from GMA Network and FPJ Productions, including:

Restored Classics for a New Generation
The collection, titled “FPJ sa GMA,” will feature digitally restored versions of FPJ’s iconic films and is scheduled to air in the first quarter of 2025.
FPJ’s celebrated works include:
- “Ang Panday”
- “Iyo ang Tondo, Akin ang Cavite”
- “Batang Quiapo”
FPJ, born Ronald Allan Kelley Poe, remains a pivotal figure in Philippine pop culture. With a career spanning over 40 years, he earned numerous accolades, including a FAMAS Hall of Fame Award, a Gawad Urian Lifetime Achievement Award, and a posthumous National Artist Award in 2012.
FPJ passed away on December 14, 2004, at age 65, but his legacy endures through his films and their enduring impact on Filipino cinema.
