“Hello, Love, Again,” the highly anticipated sequel to Hello, Love, Goodbye, is making waves internationally, earning an impressive $2.4 million during its opening weekend across 248 theaters in the United States, according to a Deadline report.

The Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo starrer has achieved a historic milestone, breaking into the Top 10 films in the US, ranking 8th—marking the first time a Filipino movie has reached this list.

“That’s an awesome opening record for a Filipino movie, beating the entire gross of the Dante Bosco romcom The Debut ($1.7M) from 2000,” Deadline noted. “It’s also the widest release ever for a Filipino feature.”

Local and Global Success

In the Philippines, the film has dominated box offices, earning a staggering ₱245 million just three days after its release.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, Hello, Love, Again picks up the story of Joy and Ethan five years after the events of the 2019 blockbuster Hello, Love, Goodbye. The film is a collaboration between GMA Pictures and ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and is showing in 1,000 cinemas worldwide.

With its record-breaking debut, Hello, Love, Again continues to captivate audiences, proving the global appeal of Filipino storytelling.
