On Friday, the massive IT outage affected passenger check-in systems at numerous airlines. However, these systems are now back to normal, as reported by CCTV via a Weibo post citing Airport Authority Hong Kong.

Temporary Measures and Global Impact

During the outage, airlines at Hong Kong International Airport switched to manual check-in procedures. Despite these temporary measures, flight operations remained unaffected. Globally, the outage led to the cancellation of 5,000 out of 110,000 scheduled commercial flights on Friday.
