MANILA, Philippines — Hotel Sogo, the country’s largest hotel chain, officially entered a new era of hospitality on April 27, 2026, with the formal launch of the Hotel Sogo Mobile App. Under the theme “SOGO ON THE GO,” the launch event held at Eurotel North EDSA marked a pivotal shift for the brand as it integrates cutting-edge technology into its signature service model across more than 50 branches nationwide.
The initiative is designed to act as a personal travel companion, catering to the fast-paced lifestyle of modern Filipino travelers who prioritize speed, efficiency, and privacy.
The new application streamlines the guest journey by offering several digital-first features:
- Instant Booking: Guests can browse room options, check real-time availability, and secure reservations with just a few taps.
- Location-Based Suggestions: By enabling location settings, the app automatically identifies and suggests the nearest Hotel Sogo branch.
- Faster Check-ins: While guests still visit the front desk for verification, the app significantly shortens the transaction process, allowing for immediate keycard issuance once a booking is verified.
- Secure Direct Booking: Booking through the official app ensures that guest data and reservations are handled safely, avoiding the risks sometimes associated with third-party sites.
- Exclusive App Perks: Users can unlock exclusive discounts, promo codes, and incentives for food orders that are not available to walk-in guests.
The Hotel Sogo Mobile App is currently available for download on the Google Play Store for Android users.
- iOS Version: A version for the Apple App Store has been confirmed and is expected to arrive soon.
- Phased Strategy: This phased rollout allows the company to ensure a smooth and reliable user experience as it digitizes the guest journey across all its provincial and urban hubs.
During the launch, Corporate Marketing Head Sue Geminiano emphasized that the app represents the next chapter of the brand. “The app gives our guests the power to choose where, when, and how they want to stay,” Geminiano stated.
Digital & IT Director Christian Estrellado added that the platform was developed for a modern lifestyle, focusing on a “faster and smarter” experience. Despite the digital push, the leadership team reassured the public that technology is intended to support, rather than replace, the human touch.
“So Clean So Good… Only now, it is also So Fast, So Easy, and So Digital,” the team noted, signaling that future updates will eventually include loyalty rewards tracking and personalized in-app support.
