Jericho Rosales has openly expressed his eagerness to reunite with Kristine Hermosa in a cinematic rendition of their iconic TV series, “Pangako Sa’yo.” In a heartfelt discussion with Cosmopolitan Philippines, Rosales conveyed a sense of “unfinished business” with the project, envisioning a film as the perfect epilogue to their celebrated collaboration.

Reflecting on the 25th anniversary of “Pangako Sa’yo,” Rosales revealed his outreach to their mutual former manager, inquiring about Hermosa’s willingness to rekindle their on-screen chemistry. His vision for the movie includes exploring their characters two decades on, deliberately steering clear of parental roles to capture a “rock and roll” essence, hinting at a desire for a fresh narrative twist.

Amid personal transitions, including his recent separation, Rosales remains committed to his craft, hinting at a busy slate of projects extending into 2027 and promising a return to the silver screen within the year.

Kristine Hermosa, on her part, continues to cherish her family life, recently announcing her pregnancy with her sixth child with husband Oyo Sotto. The original “Pangako Sa’yo” duo, whose chemistry propelled them to stardom under ABS-CBN, left an indelible mark on Philippine television, inspiring a successful remake in 2015 starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

Rosales’s proposal for a “Pangako Sa’yo” movie not only speaks to the enduring appeal of their love team but also to the potential for revisiting classic narratives with a modern twist, exciting fans of the original series and new audiences alike.
