Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, known for his prowess on the basketball court, has taken his talents to a new stage, starring in Fall Out Boy’s music video for “So Much (For) Stardust”. The NBA star, who previously grabbed headlines with his emo-inspired look during the Media Day for the current NBA season, has brought this unique persona into the music world, complete with thick eyeliner and straightened hair covering half of his face.

In the video, Butler is seen embracing his emo character, donning a purple bedazzled cowboy outfit and hat, lip-synching to Patrick Stump’s voice, and showcasing his dance moves alongside Pete Wentz, the only band member appearing in the video. Butler’s collaboration with Fall Out Boy was teased on his Instagram, asking fans if they wanted “emo Jimmy” to make a comeback.

This appearance follows Butler’s notable transformation at the start of the NBA season, where he introduced “Emo Jimmy” with black-painted fingers, multiple piercings, and a distinctive hairstyle during his official Media Day appearance, leaving a lasting impression that extended to his season’s broadcast headshots.

Butler’s foray into music comes amidst a season of highs and lows, including a recent suspension for his involvement in an on-court altercation. However, his return to the game was marked by a strong performance, contributing significantly to the Miami Heat’s victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

As the Heat continue to build momentum following last year’s impressive run to the NBA Finals, Butler’s off-court ventures, including his memorable stint in Fall Out Boy’s music video, highlight the multifaceted interests and talents of the NBA star.
