“Run Jin” is officially here! BTS member Jin has launched his very own variety show, beginning with an exhilarating hiking episode. Just five days after being discharged from the South Korean military, the singer embarked on a journey to reach the summit of Mt. Hallasan on Jeju Island.

A Hilarious and Emotional Journey

True to his humorous personality, Jin kept the audience entertained throughout the hike, joking about his initial overconfidence. “How arrogant I was. We should change our theme from ‘I can do anything’ to ‘should we try something at least?'” he quipped.

However, the hike was not without its emotional moments. Upon reaching the summit, Jin became teary-eyed, overwhelmed by the magnificent view and his accomplishment. “This is magnificent. A beautiful sight. Wow, I did it. Can’t believe I’m looking at Baengnokdam five days after my discharge,” he said.

More to Come

The end credits teased more funny episodes to come, promising fans plenty of entertainment. “Run Jin” is a variant of BTS’ long-running variety show “Run BTS,” with new episodes released every Tuesday.

Busy Schedule Post-Discharge

Since his discharge on June 12 after serving 18 months in the military, Jin has been exceptionally busy. He led this year’s Festa, the annual month-long celebration of BTS’ anniversary, with various performances and a hug event. Additionally, he graced the cover of W Korea magazine.

Jin also made headlines last month when he participated as South Korea’s torchbearer in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. In recent interviews, he shared that he is hard at work on his solo album, keeping fans eagerly anticipating his next musical project.
