The announcement did not specify Thornley’s health condition but emphasized the necessity of prioritizing her well-being, leading to her withdrawal from several pageant activities. Thornley is the second contestant to withdraw from this year’s pageant, following Natasha Jung of Kananga.
The Miss Universe Philippines Angeles City organization expressed gratitude to the national pageant body, sponsors, and supporters for their involvement in Thornley’s journey, highlighting the commitment to empowering women.
