Iconic loveteam Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin are bringing back the magic with their reunion film, Ex Ex Lovers. The first teaser trailer for the movie was released Wednesday night, sparking excitement and nostalgia among ’90s fans.
In the film, Jolina stars as Joy, who travels to Valletta, Malta, to reconnect with Ced (played by Marvin). Her mission: convince Ced to fulfill their daughter’s wish of walking her down the aisle. However, unresolved tension from their past relationship leads to comedic and emotional clashes.
The trailer also playfully nods to the pair’s 1998 hit Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang? with a reference to Jolina’s iconic line, “Sure ka bang kaibigan mo lang ako?”

The film features Juan Karlos and Loisa Andalio in supporting roles and is directed by JP Habac, known for crafting heartfelt and relatable stories. Ex Ex Lovers is produced by Project 8 Projects and Cornerstone Entertainment.

Jolina and Marvin, fondly referred to as “MarJo,” rose to fame as one of the Philippines’ most beloved loveteams. Their chemistry captivated audiences in classics like Hey Babe!, Flames: The Movie!, and TV series such as Gimik and I Luv NY.
The duo’s comeback was first hinted at in June when they were spotted with award-winning filmmakers Antoinette Jadaone and Dan Villegas, founders of Project 8 Projects.
