MANILA – Decades may have passed, but Jolina Magdangal believes that fate continues to tie her and Marvin Agustin together, as they recently reunited for the romantic comedy “Ex Ex Lovers.”

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Magdangal expressed her overflowing gratitude for their enduring bond, reflecting on their reunion in a film after 25 years.

“Dear Labtim, so many emotions have been running through me. When our movie’s theme song dropped on Spotify, and I realized our premiere night was coming up, I just broke down in tears. The clearest thing in all this? I am so grateful for everything that has happened to us. Thank you, Labtim,” she wrote.

An ‘Unbreakable Connection’

Magdangal described her and Agustin’s friendship as one bound by an “invisible red string”—a fate-driven connection that always leads them back to each other.

“We may not always see it, but I believe we have an invisible red string that binds us together. Our connection will always be unbreakable. We have so many blessings, and our friendship is at the top of that list.”

Marvin Agustin’s Playful Tribute

Agustin also shared a nostalgic message on Instagram, playfully recalling their teenage years as an onscreen pair.

“My labs, thank you for always putting up with my antics. Sometimes, I still feel like we’re teenagers. Honestly, sometimes I act that way on purpose because it reminds me of the fun times we had during Labs Kita, Okey Ka Lang?—when our biggest problems were sneaking out to party or when you’d get mad at me for not paying enough attention to you. The problems were so petty, but they made us so happy,” he reminisced.

A Love Team That Defined a Generation

Magdangal and Agustin’s love team became iconic in the ‘90s, starring in memorable films such as:
🎬 Flames: The Movie
🎬 Labs Kita, Okey Ka Lang?
🎬 Hey Babe!

Now, with Ex Ex Lovers, their onscreen magic proves timeless, rekindling the chemistry that made them one of the most beloved love teams in Philippine cinema. 💖🎬
