Comedian Jose Manalo is set to tie the knot with former EB Babe Gene Maranan, who said “yes” to his romantic proposal on December 2.
Gene shared glimpses of the heartfelt moment on Instagram, capturing the proposal at a resort adorned with flowers, hearts, and a neon sign that read, “Will you marry me?”
Jose serenaded Gene with Yeng Constantino’s “Ikaw,” accompanied by guitar and saxophone. As he led her to the decorated pool area, Gene appeared overwhelmed, asking, “Ano ’yan? Totoo ba ’yan?”
Jose then knelt and popped the question. A delighted Gene said yes, and the couple sealed the moment with a kiss and an embrace.
In her post, Gene expressed her joy, saying, “The easiest YES I’ve ever said. It’s you. It’s always been you.”
Moving Forward After Loss
Jose was previously married to Anna Lyn Santos, with whom he shared four children: Benj, Myki, Ai, and Nicco. Anna Lyn passed away in 2022.
