MANILA, Philippines — PBA legend June Mar Fajardo reached another historic milestone on Monday night, February 16, 2026, as he was honored with his seventh “Mr. Basketball” citation at the 2025 Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Annual Awards Night.

The San Miguel Beer center expressed deep gratitude for the recurring recognition, stating in Filipino, “I won’t get tired of this because these awards are prestigious. It’s an honor and I’m blessed to be a part of this night.”

A Season of Dominance:

The 36-year-old “Kraken” earned the award following an extraordinary season where he:

  • Captured a record-breaking ninth PBA MVP award.
  • Led San Miguel Beer to the Season 49 Philippine Cup title.
  • Secured his 12th PBA championship just weeks prior to the awards night.

Focusing on Gilas Pilipinas

After a brief rest in his hometown of Cebu, Fajardo confirmed he has already shifted his focus to national team duties. He is currently participating in practices for Gilas Pilipinas and is set to join the upcoming training camp for international competition.
