Kate Valdez recently opened up about her relationship with Japanese vlogger and artist Fumiya Sankai, sharing that her birthday trip to Hong Kong Disneyland was a thoughtful gift from him.
In an interview with Lhar Santiago on “24 Oras,” Kate recounted how Fumiya asked her what she wanted for her birthday. “The trip was a gift from him. He wanted to spend my special day with me, so he asked me what I wanted, and I told him, ‘I think I want to experience Disneyland,'” Kate shared.
The actress, known for her roles with Sparkle, expressed that she feels “very at peace” when she’s with Fumiya. When questioned about whether they are dating, Kate replied, “Tito Lhar, we’re just so happy with each other, with each other’s presence.”
When further pressed about her feelings, Kate admitted, “Yes, I am in love. I’m very happy, and I’m grateful for him.”
Kate and Fumiya first met at an event where Fumiya, now also an artist, was performing. “He’s making songs and music now, so I attended one of his events, and that’s how we met. It just continued from there,” Kate explained.
Kate Valdez is currently preparing for her role in the Philippine remake of the popular K-drama “Shining Inheritance,” where she will star alongside Kyline Alcantara, Michael Sager, Paul Salas, and Coney Reyes. Meanwhile, Fumiya Sankai gained popularity in the Philippines after joining a reality show in 2019.
