After 11 years, actress Katherine Luna has publicly apologized to Coco Martin for wrongly claiming he was the father of her child.

In an interview with Julius Babao, Luna admitted there was no closure in their past relationship and acknowledged her mistaken assumption about her daughter’s paternity.

“I’m so embarrassed. After what happened and what I said before, I hope you can forgive me someday,” Luna said.

She explained that she initially believed Martin was the father but later noticed her daughter resembled a Chinese businessman she was also involved with. Martin reportedly took a DNA test to confirm he was not the biological father.

Coco Martin Yet to Respond

The controversy first made headlines in 2014, when Martin tearfully addressed the issue in an interview. Since then, Luna’s career took a backseat while Martin rose to fame, now leading “Batang Quiapo.”

Despite their past, Luna expressed happiness for Martin’s success, recognizing his hard work and perseverance in the industry.

“I’m happy for him. He deserves it. Even during his indie film days, he pushed himself to succeed.”

As of this writing, Martin has not commented on Luna’s apology.
