Kathryn Bernardo has been honored with the Snow Leopard Rising Star Award at the 2024 Asian World Film Festival (AWFF), cementing her status as one of the Philippines’ most celebrated performers.

In a press release, AWFF praised the Hello, Love, Again star for her talent and influence, recognizing her as one of the country’s “most bankable and beloved performers.”

Kathryn received the award during the Closing Night Awards Gala at the Culver Theater in California.

A Historic Milestone for Filipino Cinema

Hello, Love, Again, the sequel to Kathryn’s 2019 blockbuster Hello, Love, Goodbye, served as the festival’s closing film and marked another historic achievement. Just 10 days after its release, the film has become the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time, earning ₱930 million at the global box office.

Kathryn’s co-star, Alden Richards, also attended the festival to represent the film during its screening, which was sold out at the event.

International Acclaim for “Hello, Love, Again”

The film premiered in Philippine cinemas on November 13 and is currently showing in over 1,100 cinemas worldwide, spanning Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Its international appeal has further solidified Kathryn’s position as a global star and highlighted the rising prominence of Filipino cinema on the world stage.
