Team Ogie, featuring “It’s Showtime” hosts Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, MC Calaquian, and Lassy Marquez, claimed victory in the Magpasikat 2024 competition on October 26. Performing under the name “Fourtastic Combo,” the team not only won the top spot on the noontime show but also earned a P300,000 cash prize, which they plan to donate to the Angat Buhay Foundation, founded by former Vice President Leni Robredo
The team’s performance, centered on the theme “Tigil, Hinga, Kalma” (Pause, Breathe, Relax), featured Alcasid playing a self-composed piano piece on a rotating platform, Chiu performing an aerial trapeze act to “Isa Pang Araw” sung by Morissette Amon, and MC and Lassy giving an interpretive dance on a rotating cube.
Team Jhong, consisting of Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez, finished in second place, followed by Team Anne, which included Anne Curtis, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz, in third. Team Vhong and Team Vice also delivered noteworthy performances during the annual contest, where “It’s Showtime” hosts showcase their creativity and talents in celebration of teamwork and artistry.
