TV host and actress Kris Aquino has opened up about her ongoing health battle, revealing she’s currently enduring a lupus flare that has lasted for over two weeks.

In a heartfelt Instagram Reel, Kris showed visible signs of her illness—including bruises, red spots, and a high fever of over 38°C. Her visibly weakened frame and vulnerable state offered a sobering glimpse into the reality of living with an autoimmune disease.

“This is MY NOW,” Kris captioned the video. “I wanted you to see the pain and struggle so that you will continue to pray.”

According to the Lupus Foundation of America, flares can trigger recurring symptoms like fever, exhaustion, and body pain—often brought on by emotional or physical stress, infections, or genetics.

Kris is being cared for by doctors and lovingly supported by her son, Bimby, who appeared by her side in the video.

Celebrities like Gary Valenciano, Iza Calzado, Cherry Pie Picache, and Francis Libiran have publicly offered prayers and support.

Kris was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, her seventh autoimmune condition, after previously being cleared of cancer. Despite these challenges, she made a rare public appearance in February 2025 at the People Asia People of the Year Awards, showing strength and solidarity for designer Michael Leyva.
