First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos on Tuesday shared a photo with Josh and Bimby Aquino, the grandsons of the late Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. and former President Corazon Aquino.
Marcos expressed her delight at the visit, saying, “Thank you Bimby and Josh for dropping by. It was so nice to see you guys after all these years.”
No additional details were provided by Marcos’ office or the Presidential Communications Office.
According to Ivan Mayrina’s report on “24 Oras,” this visit marks another instance of casual interaction between the Marcoses and the Aquinos since the 1986 People Power Revolution. In the 1990s, Kris Aquino conducted a one-on-one interview with now-President Bongbong Marcos on her talk show. Bongbong Marcos and his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, also visited the wake of former President Corazon Aquino in 2009.
