Land Transportation Office-7 has revealed that they are now monitoring two private driving schools after receiving reports that these driving schools are offering “no appearance” Theoretical and Practical Driving Course Certificates.

LTO-7 regional director Victor Emmanuel Caindec said that they are now investigating the allegations raised against these private driving schools.

We are conducting an investigation tungod aning mga pasangil nga kaning mga driving school uban, mohatag ra kuno og certificate mobayad ra ka, which is illegal,” said Caendic in a statement.

Caindec also reiterated that it is important to justify the allegations by executing an affidavit to formalize the complaint.

The director said that they also need to make sure that these people who are complaining will execute an affidavit in the spirit of fairness.

Ang among gipasalig is amo ning gitan-aw tanan in fact halos every week naa me gina-endorse sa NBI kanang mga naa sa Facebook Marketplace,” he said.

“All driving schools are being monitored and they have what they called as index ratio, this is to check their capacity versus in their actual outputs, but with the index capacity measure it tells us whether there seems to be something off in some data but what we are looking for also is if there is a complaint,” Caindec added.

Currently, an investigation is being conducted on the two identified private driving schools on the said allegations.

If naay nireklamo masubay namo. Gi-launch ang new investigation. No appearance kuno ang nahitabo ato, pero among gipa-produce ang driving school sa finger print ug sa photos, naa but di me sure nga the same bato nga tawo,” Caindec further said.

Caindec also said that there are driving schools operating that are not under their Geographical Areas of Responsibility (GAOR) but are putting their services in the Central Visayas, especially in Cebu.

Aside from the cancellation of their accreditation, Caindec also said that they will file a case of violation of the Cybercrime Act against these private driving schools if proven guilty of these illegal acts.

Currently, there are more than 80 private driving schools accredited in Central Visayas.
