In a significant operation in Barangay Tarosanan, Milaor, Camarines Sur, law enforcement officials successfully seized approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P340,000, along with a grenade launcher during a buy-bust operation. The raid led to the arrest of a woman, while her live-in partner, who is allegedly linked to high-profile drug personalities in the National Capital Region (NCR), managed to escape.

The confiscated substances and weaponry were found at the suspect’s residence, indicating a high level of criminal engagement involving dangerous weapons and significant quantities of illegal drugs. The ongoing investigation aims to dismantle a network that is believed to be sourcing its narcotics from the NCR.

Mark Anthony Viray, the Provincial Director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Camarines Sur, emphasized the importance of the operation. He stated, “This is part of our backtracking investigation to uncover who these personalities are,” highlighting the efforts to trace and apprehend other individuals involved in this network.

The operation underscores the persistent issues of drug trafficking and the circulation of illegal arms within certain regions of the Philippines. Law enforcement agencies continue their pursuit to arrest the escaped accomplice and further expose the broader network engaged in this illicit trade.
