A 54-year-old man was killed in a violent robbery aboard a bus in Carmen, Davao del Norte, on Saturday, December 28.
Incident Details
According to Captain Dennis Agosto, deputy chief of the Carmen Municipal Police Station, the victim boarded the bus at a mall in Tagum City, bound for Davao City. Two armed suspects joined the bus at Timog Tagum, approximately 1.5 kilometers from the mall.
When the bus reached Barangay Sto. Niño, one of the suspects shot the victim in the head and stole his bag.
The suspects then disembarked and used a stolen motorcycle, reportedly taken from an individual known as “Doy,” to escape.
Ongoing Pursuit
Authorities are actively pursuing the suspects, but no arrests have been made as of this report.
