President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is calling on Filipinos to vote wisely and uphold the integrity of Eleksyon 2025 as the nation prepares for polls on May 12. In a public message aired Sunday, Marcos emphasized that voting is both a right and a civic duty, underscoring the importance of making every voice count for the country’s future.

“My fellow Filipinos, let’s exercise our right and fulfill our responsibility as citizens. This election is our chance to speak up and share our dreams for the nation,” he said in Filipino.

He urged voters to support candidates who are honest, compassionate, and capable of true public service. He also reminded political hopefuls to honor the democratic process, appealing for a peaceful and dignified election.

“Let’s vote for those with integrity and the heart to serve. And to all candidates, let’s respect the process. Let’s conclude this election with honor and peace,” he added.

Marcos acknowledged that differing opinions are part of democracy, but warned against allowing political disagreements to turn into conflict or intimidation. “We may not always agree, but our differences shouldn’t lead to chaos or violence. We fight for our future at the ballot box—not in the streets, not through aggression,” he stressed.

To ensure voter participation, Marcos had earlier declared May 12 a special non-working holiday. The appeal comes as nationwide preparations wrap up for the upcoming elections.
