Maria Ozawa shared the personal struggles she faced when she entered the adult film industry at the young age of 19, revealing that many people distanced themselves from her during that time.

In a recent episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” aired on Wednesday, Ozawa spoke candidly about the negative remarks she endured and the impact on her family relationships. “They would say things,” she recalled. “But the friends that I’m with right now, we’ve been together forever.”

Reflecting on her family’s reaction, Ozawa described the situation as “really, really messy.” Despite the challenges, she expressed understanding towards her parents’ concerns. “Of course, they’re a parent, I’m a girl. Of course, they will go against it. But when I left the house, I just told them that I’m gonna come back bigger, better. And I just want them to wait, and I said I’m sorry. But then afterwards, I never went back,” she shared.

Today, Ozawa says her relationship with her family is improving. “There’s a lot to work [on], but it’s getting better, I guess. I’ve invited them to the Philippines a couple of times,” she said.

Ozawa has since left the adult video industry, explaining her decision to quit while still maintaining public recognition. “I wanted to quit the industry while they still know about me or when they’re still talking about me. ‘Cause how am I supposed to prove anything if I’m not famous anymore?” she explained.

New Beginnings and Current Projects

In 2014, Ozawa visited the Philippines at the invitation of a Filipino friend who had previously visited Japan. Currently, she is part of the Kapuso series “Pulang Araw,” portraying the character Haruka Tanaka, the mother of Hiroshi Tanaka, played by David Licauco. “Pulang Araw” airs every weeknight after GMA News “24 Oras” and is also available on Netflix.
