Marian, serving as a judge at the event in Pasay City on Tuesday night, became a trending topic on social media. On her Instagram Stories, she shared a screenshot showing her name on X (formerly Twitter)’s trending list.
During the competition, after reading a question, a male candidate asked Marian if he could have the question in English. Marian graciously accepted the request, saying, “I will try my best. Are you ready for this? Listen very carefully. Here’s my question,” before smoothly translating it. She then humorously added, “I think you understand that,” and held up a peace sign.

Marian is currently working on her new movie, “Balota,” directed by award-winning filmmaker Kip Oebanda. The film tells the story of a land-grabbing tycoon and a former male sexy actor competing for the mayoral seat of a small town. Marian plays Emmy, a teacher who becomes a crucial figure in the election chaos. The film is set to screen at the Cinemalaya Film Festival from August 2 to 11.
