At the age of 54, Maricel Laxa has achieved a remarkable feat by finishing the Boston Marathon, thereby earning the esteemed Six Star Medal for completing all six World Marathon Majors. This significant accomplishment was shared with her daughter, vlogger Hannah Pangilinan, who joined her in Boston for her own first major marathon experience.

The duo celebrated this milestone with heartfelt posts on social media, where Hannah expressed her overwhelming joy and gratitude, stating, “IT IS FINISHED! Her six star medal and my first world major marathon. What a time with you mom. At a loss for words, thank you for all your support—more soon. To God be all the glory!”

Maricel Laxa acknowledged the crucial role her daughter played in her journey, attributing her courage to participate in the race to Hannah’s support. “My Baby, WE did this. I couldn’t have had any courage to run Boston without you,” Maricel responded in the comments section of Hannah’s post.

Maricel’s husband, Anthony Pangilinan, also took to Instagram to celebrate the achievement, noting that Maricel has now completed the series of marathons which includes Tokyo, Chicago, London, New York, and Berlin. Anthony himself is a Six Star Marathon finisher, having completed his circuit before the pandemic. His pride in both his wife’s and daughter’s achievements was evident as he praised Hannah for her “amazing race pace.”

This family’s collective spirit and achievement in marathon running not only highlights their personal dedication but also serves as an inspiring story of familial support and perseverance in the face of challenging goals.
