Authorities uncovered and destroyed three marijuana plantation sites in Barangay Badeo, Kibungan, Benguet, during an anti-drug operation on Thursday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported.
According to PDEA, the plantation sites spanned approximately 2,500 square meters and contained 18,200 fully grown marijuana plants with an estimated value of ₱3,640,000.
The operation was conducted by PDEA’s regional and provincial offices in collaboration with the Kibungan Police Station.
On-Site Destruction
In line with standard procedures, the marijuana plants were immediately uprooted and burned on-site after the operation.
The PDEA has yet to announce whether arrests were made or if suspects are being pursued in connection with the plantations.
Continued Anti-Drug Efforts
