Actor McCoy de Leon shared that he sustained a minor cut on his waist while filming a dramatic stabbing scene for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo. The injury occurred during a June 24 episode where his character, David Dimaguiba, was stabbed by Miguelito Guerrero, played by Jake Cuenca.
Posting on Instagram on June 27, de Leon showed the wound while joking, “To really feel the role, you need to actually get stabbed—just kidding. It’s part of the job.” Fans praised his dedication and professionalism.
The scene was one of de Leon’s final appearances on the ABS-CBN series, marking the end of a two-year journey on the show. He expressed gratitude to the team and especially lead actor and director Coco Martin for the opportunity.
“This project changed me. I’ll always carry its lessons and I hope it left something meaningful with the audience too,” he said.
