Mikael Daez recently shared the emotional and intense experience of his wife Megan Young’s 20-hour labor in a heartfelt Instagram Reel.
The actress reached full term at 40 weeks, staying active with light workouts and even karaoke in hopes of encouraging labor. Once at the hospital, the couple was surprised to learn their baby weighed 8.3 pounds.
“This is officially labor,” Mikael said, noting there was more downtime than he expected early on, but he stayed attentive as Megan endured the challenging process. “Syempre, inalagaan ko rin si Bonez tuwing nahihirapan siya,” he added, referring to Megan by her nickname.
After the long wait, the couple finally met their baby boy. In his caption, Mikael reflected, “To all the mamas out there, you are all amazing! That birthing process is no joke.”
Megan and Mikael, who married in 2020, welcomed their first child in May.
