An MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) traffic enforcer took dramatic action to stop a driver fleeing the scene of a traffic accident in Taguig City. The incident, captured on dash cam footage, showed the enforcer jumping onto the hood of a speeding car along Lawton Avenue.

According to a report by Nico Waje on “24 Oras,” the uniformed MMDA officer clung to the hood of the vehicle as it sped away. Another traffic enforcer, who was directing traffic nearby, attempted to chase after the vehicle on foot but was unsuccessful.

The car in question was reportedly involved in a vehicular accident but refused to stop when directed by authorities, prompting the chase. Despite the efforts of the enforcers, the driver managed to escape.

The enforcer who jumped on the car hood visited the MMDA office earlier today to provide his account of the incident.

MMDA’s Next Steps

The MMDA has obtained the vehicle’s plate number and is actively searching for the driver. Once the driver is identified, he will face multiple criminal charges for his actions. The MMDA also announced plans to recommend that the Land Transportation Office (LTO) cancel the driver’s license due to the dangerous behavior exhibited during the incident.
