MANILA — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced plans to file a complaint against an SUV driver who made an illegal U-turn over a center island in Quezon City on Tuesday. The incident, which took place at 8:30 a.m. at the EDSA Aurora underpass, was captured on video by the MMDA and posted on social media.
The footage shows the SUV crossing from the middle southbound lane to the left, then illegally driving over the center island into oncoming traffic before completing the U-turn. The vehicle’s plate number has been identified, and MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes has directed the agency to file a complaint with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to ensure that the driver faces appropriate penalties.
The MMDA emphasized the dangers of illegal maneuvers on the road and reminded the public to adhere to traffic laws to ensure safety.
