Manila, Philippines – Traffic enforcers intercepted two vehicles illegally using the EDSA busway, with the occupants claiming to be part of former senator Manny Pacquiao’s security detail, the Department of Transportation-Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (DOTr-SAICT) reported.
According to a “24 Oras Weekend” report, the van and SUV were also found using unauthorized blinkers and sirens. One of the passengers initially agreed to pull over but instead fled the scene. The van later returned.
Authorities issued traffic violation tickets for disregarding traffic signs and illegal use of blinkers. The DOTr-SAICT has launched an investigation into the incident.
