A baffling incident in Cagayan De Oro City left a motorcyclist in shock when what he thought was a person he was about to collide with suddenly vanished into thin air. The eerie encounter, captured on the rider’s camera, showed an image of what appeared to be a person crossing the street and then disappearing without a trace.
The video footage, shared by rider Karl Dagus, was taken in the early hours of the morning around 3:00 am on a national highway in Barangay Gusa. It vividly displays an unexpected figure emerging and crossing the road right in front of him and his passenger.

Dagus anticipated a collision with the crossing figure. However, as they neared the spot, the figure simply vanished, leaving Dagus feeling as if he had passed through a gust of wind.
Upon reviewing the camera footage at home, Dagus was further unsettled by the inability to discern the face of the figure, despite it being illuminated by the motorcycle’s headlight.
Rev. Father Jun Balsamo, Chief Exorcist of the Archdiocese of Cagayan De Oro, commented on the phenomenon, suggesting that such spirits could be “fallen angels” or demons aiming to sow fear and cause accidents.
Fr. Balsamo advised those who might experience similar incidents to focus their minds on God and pray to prevent accidents and ensure the spirit disappears.
