Isang araw bago ang Bisperas ng Pasko, ang aktres na si Nadine Lustre at Greenpeace Philippines ay naglagay ng mga solar panel sa isang nayon sa Siargao Island.
Sa isang video na ipinost ng Greenpeace Philippines noong Huwebes, Disyembre 23, ibinahagi ng aktres na nag-install sila ng solar panel para sa isang solar charging station na magagamit ng mga residente para i-charge ang kanilang mga telepono at iba pang device.
“The whole of the island still doesn’t have any power and no one really knows when it’s gonna come back so phones will be useful to use as lights,” ayon sa aktres.
“If there are people also who have rechargeable LED lights they can use that as well,” dagdag pa niya.
Samantala, nag-install din ang Greenpeace Philippines ng mga solar panel sa relief operations hub ng isla “to allow staff and survivors to charge their equipment and devices.”
