The high-stakes drama of “Squid Game” is coming to a close as the much-anticipated third and final season drops on Netflix this Friday, June 27, at 3 p.m.

Netflix has been building excitement for the finale on X (formerly Twitter), referencing the show’s iconic character Player 456, Seong Gi Hun, played by Lee Jung Jae. One of their posts read, “Four hours and 56 minutes until Squid Game,” a nod to the main character’s player number. Another post featured images of the infamous dolls from the chilling “Red Light, Green Light” game.

In the latest trailer, Gi Hun declares, “I’m trying to put an end to it,” hinting at his mission following the failed rebellion in Season 2. Teasers also confirm that viewers can expect more deadly challenges in the concluding chapter.

Since its explosive debut, “Squid Game” has earned global acclaim, winning major awards like the Golden Globes and SAG Awards, along with recognition for several cast members.
