Renowned actor Niño Muhlach recently faced an unexpected health issue on the set of “Batang Quiapo,” leading to a temporary halt in filming. Muhlach experienced acute pain from a pimple inside his nose, causing significant swelling and discomfort. The situation escalated to the point where he needed to be escorted by an ambulance to a clinic for immediate medical attention, as shared in a distressing video on his Facebook page.
In the video, Muhlach expressed his agony, stating that the intense pain prevented him from performing his dialogue and acting scenes effectively. The decision to seek medical intervention was driven by the severity of the pain and its potential risk, given the proximity of the infection to the brain. Following the treatment, Muhlach reported some relief and was able to return to the set after a few hours.
Joining the cast of “Batang Quiapo” in March, Muhlach plays Baste, a character who owns a sports bar and is the employer of Alawi’s character, Bubbles. The incident underscores the physical demands and unforeseen challenges faced by actors during production, highlighting the importance of health and safety on set.
