Move over, lugaw. Everyone knows now that healthy skin is  an essential good, not only for us to look good but to feel good as well. This particularly true for our lockdown generation, who have put #skincare alongside #mentalhealth as one of the tenets of #selfcare.

But like all wars, everyone has their own secret artillery. In the war against aging, everyone has their own serums, creams, toners and moisturizers. Every influencer on Youtube, Tiktok and Instagram has their own secret salve, their own 32-step skin routine.

Finding a skin care product in the endless depths of advertisements and product placements can be a daunting task. Fortunately, OMO! White is here to make your life easier. When used as part of a skin care routine, OMO! White is guaranteed to make you look fresh and on point, even when you have nowhere to go.

Before applying anything on your face, we have to first identify what type of skin you have. Are you oily, dry, or combination?

You can find out through two methods: the bare-faced method and the blotting sheet method.

For the bare-faced method, cleanse your face and leave it dry for 40 minutes. To determine your skin type, check the cheeks, forehead, chin, and nose. If you find that these areas are shiny or greasy, chances are you have oily skin. If those areas are a bit sensitive, then you might be prone to breakouts and itchiness. Lastly, when normal skin is flaky, then you might have dry skin. Combination skin types are when you can see shine on the T-zone area (nose, forehead, and chin) but cheeks are a bit normal to dry. If it’s sensitive, you see a bit of shine in the T-zone but it looks more radiant than just plain grease. If you have normal skin, your skin should feel nice and velvety.

To check your skin using the blotting sheet method, gently pat a blotting paper on different parts of your face and see how much oil is absorbed.  Normal skin should have tiny amounts of oil; not excessive at all. If all areas of your skin are oily including the cheeks, you have oily skin. If you have dry skin, the oil sheet will not have any visible oil. For combination skin types, the sheet used would have very little oil or no oil that will come off. The ones on the forehead, nose, and chin should have some noticeable oil.

And now that you’ve identified your skin type, you’ll be able to choose which products work best for you!
