Sinabi ni Vice President Sara Duterte, na nagsisilbi rin bilang Education Secretary, nitong Lunes na hindi kakailanganin na magsuot ng mga uniporme sa paaralan para sa School Year 2022 – 2023.
Inilabas niya ang direktiba upang maiwasan ang mga karagdagang gastos para sa mga pamilya ng mga mag-aaral.
“Even before the pandemic, it is not a strict requirement for public schools to wear uniforms (Department of Education Order No. 065, s. 2010) to avoid incurring additional costs to the families of our learners,” sinabi ni Duterte.
“All the more that it will not be required this School Year given the increasing prices and economic losses due to the pandemic,” dagdag pa niya.
Nakatakdang ibalik ang limang araw na pasok sa paaralan ngayong Nobyembre batay sa utos ni VP Duterte.
