Philippine bet Alyssa Marie Redondo has secured the second runner-up position at Miss Intercontinental 2024. The coronation night took place in Egypt on December 7, where Puerto Rico’s Maria Cepero claimed the coveted crown.

Alyssa also stood out by winning two special awards: Best in Swimsuit and the Power of Beauty Special Award, which earned her a spot in the pageant’s prestigious Top 7.

A Heartfelt Gratitude

Taking to Instagram, Alyssa reflected on her journey, expressing her gratitude:

“It has been an incredible experience! Beyond the crowns, I’m leaving with priceless friendships from around the world. All the hard work has truly paid off, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”

For Alyssa, finishing as the second runner-up in her first international pageant was an “incredible achievement.” She also shared her pride and appreciation for the bond she formed with her pageant sisters, saying:

“I am so proud of all that we’ve accomplished together. I’m honored to have stood beside such inspiring, beautiful, and talented women. I’ll cherish this experience forever!”

Ending her post, Alyssa expressed her heartfelt thanks to her team and supporters:

“I’m beyond grateful for the support I’ve received throughout this journey. Each and every person on my team and all of my supporters are the reason I’ve come this far.”

A Legacy of Filipina Excellence

In its 52-year history, the Miss Intercontinental pageant has crowned two Filipina winners: Karen Gallman in 2019 and Cinderella Faye Obeñita in 2021. Alyssa’s accomplishment adds to the Philippines’ strong record in the competition.
