Pia Wurtzbach isn’t staying silent about the hate she’s been receiving in her DMs.
The Miss Universe 2015 titleholder shared a screenshot of a particularly harsh message in an Instagram Story, where a user criticized her outfit and even went as far as wishing for her divorce from husband Jeremy Jauncey. The message mocked her choice of accessories and suggested she would end up a single mother.
In response, Pia wrote, “Just another day, another DM. Wild, right?” She then called on the public to stop spreading negativity online. “C’mon people. Bagong taon na. Nag [Chinese New Year] pa,” she said, adding, “It’s exhausting, and hurtful din ha. Let’s stop normalizing this kind of online behavior.”
Pia urged her followers to leave such toxic behaviors behind in 2025 and instead focus on kindness and uplifting one another.
This isn’t the first time Pia has spoken out against online hate. She has previously encouraged the Miss Universe Organization to block hateful users and often uses hashtags like #NoHateJustLove. Recently, she also addressed criticisms about her attending fashion events, reminding everyone that pitting women against each other isn’t the way forward.
“Please stop fighting,” she said. “I always asked my supporters, even during my Binibini and Miss Universe days, not to pull others down just to defend me. That’s not what I stand for.”
