“Wow, early Father’s Day greeting card from my sweetheart,” Pokwang wrote in the caption. She noted that she didn’t ask Malia why she made the card, acknowledging her daughter’s intelligence and understanding.
Pokwang and Lee O’Brian’s Relationship
Malia is Pokwang’s daughter with her ex-partner Lee O’Brian. The couple split in 2021. Initially, Pokwang defended Lee against rumors of a third party, stating they ended things amicably. However, in a 2023 interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Pokwang admitted she had hoped to reconcile, which led her to lie about the situation.
Legal Battle and Co-Parenting
Pokwang filed a deportation case against Lee in June 2023, citing financial abuse, intimidation, and abandonment of Malia. She won the case in December 2023. Despite the legal issues, Pokwang ensures Malia still gets to see and bond with her father.
