Davao City Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte has expressed his intent to participate in the next hearing of the House’s four committees, collectively known as Quadcom, which are investigating drug war deaths and the illegal drug trade in the Philippines.

This was confirmed by House Committee on Public Accounts chairman Joseph Stephen Paduano during Thursday’s hearing. Surigao del Norte Representative Ace Barbers, the overall chairman of Quadcom, instructed the Committee Secretary to extend an official invitation to Rep. Duterte, who is the eldest son of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Rep. Duterte’s request comes as he wishes to ask questions during the hearing. The Quadcom is probing extrajudicial killings and allegations linked to the Duterte administration’s war on drugs, which is also under investigation by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged crimes against humanity.
