Quentin “QMB” Millora‑Brown has openly accepted the responsibility that comes with being tagged as the natural successor to June Mar Fajardo in Gilas Pilipinas. He calls it an honor, not a burden, and believes he’s ready to step up.
Fajardo himself named QMB and Kai Sotto as the future leaders of the national team, signaling a passing of the torch.
QMB’s journey has had its challenges. The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) had to work hard to secure his eligibility as a “local” player under FIBA rules. He and his camp remained firm, pushing for recognition that would allow him to fully contribute to Gilas.
Despite the pressure, QMB remains grounded. He says he doesn’t see Fajardo’s legacy as something to live up to — instead, he views it as a foundation he can build on. With his local status confirmed and backing from national leaders, he’s poised to make a real impact in the years to come.
