Basketball star Bobby Ray Parks Jr. has publicly apologized after a viral social media post in which he accused airline lounge staff of nearly stealing fiancée Zeinab Harake’s phone.
In the now-deleted post, Parks expressed outrage over the near-loss of Harake’s phone at the Mabuhay Lounge in Terminal 1. He claimed the phone only reappeared after they brought up checking CCTV footage and called for an investigation.
“Can’t believe my wife’s cellphone almost got stolen… Let’s do better,” he had written.
Shortly after, Parks took to social media again to issue an apology, admitting that the matter should have been dealt with privately. “I’ll take responsibility and apologize to everyone involved… This should have been handled internally,” he said.
He went on to commend Philippine Airlines and the Mabuhay Lounge staff for following through with the investigation. Parks encouraged reconciliation and moving forward with grace.
“I’m thankful due diligence was done. Let’s continue to do better and be better,” he concluded.
Ray Parks and Zeinab Harake, who went public with their relationship in June 2023, are set to wed in a Christian ceremony later this year. Harake has two children, including one with ex-partner Skusta Clee.
